Our Comerica Park Stadium Series Baseball Story & Inspiration:

Comerica Park is a baseball stadium located in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. Comerica Park has been the home of the Detroit Tigers since 2000 when they relocated from Tiger Stadium. A trip to Comerica Park is one of the most prestigious experiences in Major League Baseball.

Comerica Park's main entrance is located across from the Fox Theatre and between two historic downtown churches, St. John Episcopal Church and Central United Methodist Church. Outside the main entrance is a 15-foot tall tiger statue. There are eight more heroic-sized tiger statues throughout the park, including two on top of the scoreboard in left field. After a Tigers home run or victory, these tiger's eyes light up, and the sound of a growling tiger also plays. The park's brick walls adorned with 33 tiger heads holding lighted baseballs.

The Detroit Tigers were founded in 1901 as a charter member of the now-major league American League. They played their first game as a major league team on April 25, 1901, against the Milwaukee Brewers in front of an estimated 10,000 fans at Bennett Park. After falling behind 13–4 in the ninth inning, the team rallied to win 14–13. Imagine a crowd of 10,000 screaming for the Tigers.

Remember, on a cold snowy afternoon on Tuesday, April 11, 2000, a total of 39,168 fans attended the first game at Comerica Park. The Tigers won the game 5–2. Brian Moehler won the game, as he did in the final game at Tiger Stadium.

There are no other ballparks in history more revered than Tiger Stadium. Fans continue to wax poetic about the old place's ambiance. Look in awe at the Tigers' eyes and heads as they hold those lighted baseballs at the entrance. Feel that Comerica Park presence every time you hold your Comerica Park Stadium Series Baseball.

A commemorative baseball is an ideal gift for family and friends who cheered on the Tigers at every game at Comerica Park. There is no other place like Comerica Park, home of the Tigers. Yes! Let’s go!!!
